Last weekend my gal Mary and I decided to pack up and hit the road to explore Santa Barbara. We are both lovers of California but had never visited SB so we thought it was time.
First stop, The Goodland. Let me first start by saying these pictures do not do it justice. This is may be one of my favorite designed hotels I have been to in a long time. And everyone staying there and working there just fits the vibe! MVS and I were lucky enough to attend the opening of the Vynl Record shop which was accompanied by opening up 5 of the rooms to different artist and letting them create a piece of art for the hotel! It was truly amazing. They had a band playing pool side, a cheese board the size of my house, and a personal record player in each room.
Next stop . . . Spanish Garden Inn! This hotel is in heart of downtown Santa Barbara a walk away from the beach and all the best shops. If you haven't gotten it yet I live for a good meet and cheese board . . . they have a wine & cheese hour every afternoon in the middle of the courtyard which if I could have just stayed there all day that would have been just fine! This is more of a boutique hotel style small and quaint and very private. The staff is so friendly and they provide a complimentary delicious breakfast and have a on hand DVD collection cause why not! haha I will definitely be back.
